Welcome to the Kannapolis City School's Alumni
Website!
Sponsored by the Kannapolis Education Foundation
Welcome, To the Kannapolis Education Foundation's KCS Alumni site. This site was designed to allow former Kannapolis City School Alumni to keep in touch. We hope you find this site useful and easy to use.
DO YOU REMEMBER BROWN BEAT? We hope you will enjoy the Brown Beat issue that is online now. The original version was created in 1940 as a weekly handout. We've now moved it to the 21st Century as an electronic publication. If you'd like to help keep the print version alive by making a donation for the cost of printing, please email Mrs. Haynie, or call the school at (704) 932.6125.
HONOR YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER We hope you'll make a difference in our children's lives by honoring those who made a difference in your life. Click here to see the current list of honorees. HISTORY WALL Because the history of the Big Green Machine is an important part of the fabric of Kannapolis City Schools and A.L. Brown High School, we would like to preserve the pictures, trophies, and other memorabilia for future generations of the band as well as those who return to visit. In order to do this, we have come up with a layout for the front lobby of the music building that includes previous uniforms, plaques, pictures, and trophies. In order for this preservation effort to take place, we need your support. We are in the process of collecting funds that will allow us to create a custom trophy case as well as special framing for different pieces of band history.
It is exciting to look at the past program as well as looking to the future of it. The history wall will be an opportunity for anyone who sees it to know that the band program of A.L. Brown High School is alive and well and will be here for many generations to come. If you are interested in supporting this effort, please contact Gordon Snyder by email at snyderg@kannapolis.k12.nc.us or call (704) 938-5447. Thank you for your support.
